Why Black Lives Matter Article Summary

The Article that I read was called “What Black Lives Matter Is Really All About” by Rahel Gebreyes. In this article I read about how the shootings and/or deaths caused by police for the past years has been a huge problem, but many people are trying to bring everything together. That’s why we have the Black Lives Matter Movement.

In the reading Rahel refers back to a video based on why black lives matter. Everybody that was in the video was/is apart of this important movement. A lady named Lilly Workneh stated “Black Lives Matter is about peace. It’s about bringing people together. It’s about fighting for justice. It’s about solidarity and it’s about unity”.

Most people that have protested about how black lives matter want a peaceful protest and they always talk about how they want everybody to come together and try to fight against more shootings or deaths to happen. Always somehow more outrageous things happen and most people start to feel like we are getting nowhere and they want to start solving violence with violence. That should never be the case.

The hashtag “black lives matter” was created after a man named George Zimmerman was found not guilty for killing 17 year old Trayvon Martin.

A. How do you want people to react when you die? How should they remember or celebrate your life? When I die I wouldn’t want people to cry or or fell hurt about it because they should know that I am in a better place and that I am watching over them and making sure that they are okay. They should just smile and be happy even though I know they are going to cry but they should just gather around and just talk about the good things and how they remember me.

B. Do you think adults should show their vulnerable sides to their children? Why? No, I don’t think that parents should show their vulnerable side to they children because that would make the child worried about their parents and it would make the child feel like they could do something about or it could make the child feel the same way.

A. Do you remember the time when you first realized that your body was turning into a body more like an adult’s? Explain how you made that discovery. The first time that I realized that my body was changing into a body more like an adult’s was when i was about 9 or 10 and my chest started to grow and I knew something was changing about me because when I was 6 and 7 me chest wasnt like that before so I would start to ask me mom questions about what was going on an she would tell me everything.

B. Is it fair that women and men are categorized and judged by the clothing they wear? What are the benefits and thr disadvantages of such judgment? I dont think that its fair how women and men get categorized by what they wear because why should it matter. People like different things and people have different styles, it shouldnt matter how people dress because at the end of the day everybody is different. Some of the advantages are that people would like what you wear and the would give compliments and disadvantages are that people would try to put you down and stuff about what you wear.

A. Who is a person in your life who ” is older and knows lots of things”? What did he or she teach you? The person that is older than me and knows alot of things is my mother. My mother taught me that I should never be a follower and that i should always be a leader because I am beautiful and I have things going for myself. She also says that if yoube a follower the person you are following might lead you into doing bad things and you dont want that.

B.Is it better to wait for someone to change your life or to do it yourself? Give an Example from your experience that may support your opinion.

I think that its better for you to change your life instead of waiting for someone else to change it for you. Example: If you are trying to apply for a job and you need an application for you to apply for the job you should go and get the apllication for yourself and not ask for anybody to get it for you because of the fact that they might for get or they might promise you that they will get it and they never will.

The Devil in Tom Walker. — March 1, 2016

The Devil in Tom Walker.

Do you feel that Tom Walker deserved his fate? Explain.

Yes, I think Tom Walker deserved his fate because of the fact how he acted in the whole story. For example how he was greatful when his wife died. Any other man would have been heart broken and would’ve tried to get revenge. Also, he starved the animals that he had. It’s like Tom Walker didn’t have a heart. Tom Walker was a liar and a manipulator. He Deserved to met his end.

I Believe… — February 5, 2016

I Believe…

I believe in Unconditional Love. Why do I believe in such a thing? You ask, I will simply answer that by saying I feel as if I will find that special guy that will love me for me and not just love me for my body. Many people feel as if they will never find the right person for them. I say stop looking and just let love come to you. Based on the information from my peers and my life experience i will explain why i think others should also believe in Unconditional Love.

Unconditional love is something that might be hard to come by, but from the information given to me by my peers, especially my older brother, I have found out that everyone will find that special one. Everyone in my mind deserves that special someone that loves them unconditionally, not just for their body. This also brings me back to my statement earlier in the essay when I said “Stop looking for love and let love come to you.” It is harder to find love when you are constantly searching for it. You have to let it come naturally.

Almost everyone should agree that there has at least been that one person or ex that has made you feel like you are the only one for them in the world or the one that they see themselves marrying. Most of the time is the main girl ot guy that you will give your everything to. For my people that dont understand what im saying i mean that you would put your heart and all you trust into this guy or girl and you feel as if they wont break it, step on it, or play with it like a fiddle.

At the end of the day I feel like everybody will find that most special and amazing person for them and I also feel that if you are looking for love that you should stop now and let it just come to you as a surprise.
